As cliche as it may sound working at Adana has been one of the best things that have ever happened to me. As this was my first real experience working at a clinic I was in awe with the way the clinic functions. From the way we include pets’ pictures in our files to the time the doctors take to speak with each and every client had me amazed. Adana is a very special and unique clinic and working here has made me realize that the veterinary field is something I MUST continue to pursue.
I am originally from the DR and was raised in NYC for most of my childhood. Although I moved a lot one thing stayed constant, my love and passion for animals of all types. My drive and dedication have landed me at Cornell University as an animal science major. I also work at the Cornell Teaching Barn where I get to help out with the Cornell Sheep. Outside of work I enjoy cooking Dominican plates, reading my favorite books, and hiking in new locations.
I currently have two dogs and 3 gerbils. I adopted Chula, the mega mutt as I call her, almost a year ago and she is my soul dog. She was abused prior to her adoption and we have spent every day since overcoming roadblocks and she is now a phenomenal partner in life. Luna, my yorkie, was rehomed to me and she didn’t know how to “dog” properly. After a lot of training and exposure she is happy and healthy. I acquired my 3 gerbils, Sassenach, Cassiopeia, and Nala (named after my favorite show, book, and movie) thanks to a client at Adana who needed homes for these three sassy girls.
