I like working at Adana because there is an aspect of animal care that is much different than human care which is they can’t speak to us to tell us what’s wrong! You have to be much more in tune to their physical/emotional reactions and body language. I feel lucky to hang out with such cute and loving pets all day and do my best to contribute to them staying well/feeling better.
I have a 4-year-old dog named Zy’Yah who is my best friend even though she doesn’t like going for walks. Her favorite activity is cuddling on the couch. I love animals of all shapes and sizes and have a particular fondness for reptiles. I raised an iguana, recently adopted by Dr. Wildenstein, who is now 9 years old and 4 feet long.
Outside of work, my favorite activity is playing soccer – most evenings you can find me on a soccer field. I enjoy many other hobbies as well, including, biking, hiking, kayaking, rock climbing, reading, spending time with friends, and listening to podcasts. One of my favorite topics to learn about is human nutrition and the importance of micronutrients and bacteria in your diet.
