Adana Veterinary Clinic is seeking a full-time (30 to 38 hours/week) Veterinary Technician Assistant to work in our small animal veterinary practice with focus on excellent patient care for cats, dogs, and furry exotics as well as exceptional, personalized client service. We offer a wonderful position, where you can utilize your vet assistant skills, in a small, personalized practice working with pleasant clientele and a great team. We expect that you love client care as well as pet care. You will assist the LVT and the doctors in their daily work, assist with patient intake for exams, entering data into our vet software, assist and provide compassionate restraint as needed for exams, treatments, and surgery for patients of all sizes. Computer/medical data entry including transcribing information from the doctor into the medical record is part of the job. You are a good communicator and able to relay information to owners about their pets and their care. You will also help dispensing medications, running patient lab samples, answering phones, and participate in our excellent customer care. You will share in performing light, daily cleaning and disinfection of our exam areas, recovery cages, and caring for any hospitalized patients and for the cats in our boarding area.
Hours needed: The position requires ability to work during our business hours at least 4 days per week and 1 Saturday morning shift every 2 to 4 weeks (office hours). Some flexibility in ability to cover occasional weekend/holiday boarding shifts is desirable.
What you bring to the job: You love the pet care field! You must have good communication skills, a cheerful attitude and be willing to assist in a positive workflow by being a valuable, hard-working, and organized team player. You have a sense of humor and a zest for life, pets, and pet care! You can type at a minimum of 55-60 WPM. We are a technically progressive practice, we use Impromed for our veterinary software and all exam rooms are equipped with desktop computers.

Compensation. Hourly rate, commensurate with experience and skills: $17.50 to $19.50
