Adana Veterinary Clinic is seeking a full-time (or part-time, min. 30hours/week) experienced Veterinary Assistant to work in our beautiful, progressive, small animal veterinary practice.
Your job responsibilities will include assisting with patient restraint for exams, treatments, and surgery. Aside from assisting the LVT and the doctor, the vet assistant helps in many areas. You will share in performing daily cleaning/maintenance of the facility and the cages, as well as help with care of any hospitalized patients and cats in our boarding area. Relative to your level of experience the right person will also be trained to help with patient intake, computer/medical data entry, assisting with answering phones and providing excellent customer care, dispensing medications, running patient lab samples and MUCH more. You need to be able to lift 50 lbs by yourself in this position as well as be prepared to be on your feet many hours per day. The position requires ability to work every other Saturday (office hours), one late evening until 8pm, and some brief weekend and holiday shifts for cleaning and boarding care occasionally.
We need a person with dedicated interest in the animal field, we are looking for someone with long-term interest in this job. You must have good communication skills, a cheerful attitude and to be willing to assist in a positive workflow by being a valuable, hard-working, and organized team player. We are a mostly digital practice and computer literacy is a must, including ability to type at a minimum of 45 WPM. To apply you will need to know your typing speed.
