Adana Veterinary Clinic has always been aware of the special needs for cats and the hospital was built with this in mind. Dr. Wildenstein designed separate waiting areas and exam rooms for cats and for dogs. This is especially important for cats that are unfamiliar with dogs. They feel more safe in an exam room that does not have any dog smells. The cats that live with dogs are welcome to join their canine housemates in the dog exam room. Very few boarding facilities in our area are dog free, so the doctor also decided to include a clean and quiet cat exclusive boarding area in the building.
In April 2016 Adana became certified as a Cat Friendly Practice® by the American Association of Feline Practitioners. It was a natural progression for a practice that was already very friendly to cats. Our Silver grade certification provides cat owners with an assurance that we do the utmost in feline care and medicine. We understand cat behavior and how to approach and handle cats in a gentle, empathetic and caring manner. For more information visit catvets.com.
