Vanessa joined the Adana team as a veterinary assistant in May 2016 while she was at school at Alfred for a Veterinary Technology degree. She returned the following summer to complete her veterinary technician internship. As of May 2018, Vanessa has re-joined the team as a veterinary technician, and will sit for her licensing exam this summer.
Vanessa enjoys working in a clinic where patients and their human parents feel welcome and are able to form relationships with the staff. It makes her happy knowing clients trust the staff to take amazing care of their animals. She has a passion for dog training and nutrition.
When not at Adana, Vanessa can be found spending time with her dogs, hiking, kayaking, hunting, or riding horses at local barns. She enjoys being outdoors, as well as a good book on a rainy day. She is also a member of Guiding Eyes for the Blind where she helps train guide dogs for the visually impaired. She shares her house with three dogs (Oscar, Stella and Duncan) and four cats.
